About us
We are Steve and Christina
Steve, originally from Akron OH, went to Austria to serve in a coffee house ministry in 1985. Christina, originally from the Swedish-speaking part of Finland went to Austria in 1988 to serve in another church. We met there, have been married since 1989 and have three adult daughters and two grandsons.
We have served in Austria in many different capacities and since 2001 in Germany. The Fall of 2022 we moved to Finland to continue our ministry there....
Church Basics International
​
The ministry we are involved in is called Church Basics International or CBI. Through CBI we have been training leaders from roughly 200 churches in Germany, with over 1,000 leaders in the area of church health and revitalization. The participating churches have seen more first-time visitors, more conversions, more baptisms, and more people actively following Christ
as a result of this ministry.
CBI has expanded into Austria and Switzerland and most recently also into Finland. Some more countries in Europe are also interested...
